In this project, I focused on the analysis of cardiac components from 3D heart CT scans, employing advanced techniques in medical image processing. The project involved segmenting the heart and its key structures from volumetric CT data, followed by converting the segmented components into point clouds for further analysis. By using point clouds, I was able to represent the intricate geometric details of the heart’s anatomy with high precision. This approach facilitated more detailed examination of the spatial relationships between different cardiac structures, which could be used to support various clinical applications such as surgical planning, disease diagnosis, and treatment evaluation. The project also included the application of machine learning algorithms to identify and classify features within the point clouds, enhancing the accuracy and automation of cardiac component analysis.
